Tea Time Tuesday Harvest Edition

Welcome to Tea Time Tuesday Harvest Edition… We spent the weekend helping my parent’s cut and stack wood to prepare for the upcoming winter, so it seems the end of fall is already here (especially since I’m a fanatic and have started preparing the house for the Christmas season). After such a couple of busy days, Tea Time Tuesday was exactly what I needed.

Featured Poem

Gathering Leaves by Robert Frost

Spades take up leaves
No better than spoons,
And bags full of leaves
Are light as balloons.

I make a great noise
Of rustling all day
Like rabbit and deer
Running away.

But the mountains I raise
Elude my embrace,
Flowing over my arms
And into my face.

I may load and unload
Again and again
Till I fill the whole shed,
And what have I then?

Next to nothing for weight,
And since they grew duller
From contact with earth,
Next to nothing for color.

Next to nothing for use.

But a crop is a crop,
And who’s to say where
The harvest shall stop?

Our Table

Homework and Horseplay Tea Time Tuesday Harvest Trail MixIf you follow me on Instagram, you know that #reallife has taken over. Our dining room is currently covered in boxes and cleaning supplies, and our school room is not much better. Due to my mess we decided to move into our living room for tea time, and it worked out perfectly. After reading our poems we snuggled up and watched a movie together.

Thank you for joining us for Tea Time Tuesday Harvest Edition.
