About

Welcome to Homework & Horseplay
Launched in 2017 as a community for creative homeschoolers, bloggers, and parents in general, this site is a collection of homeschool ideas, encouragements, and personal reviews. I have been so inspired by fellow homeschool bloggers that I felt compelled to start Homework & Horseplay in hopes of inspiring one of you!

About Me
My name is Roxanne, and I have been married to my husband Ryan for over 12 years. Together we have three wonderful children Kenten, Julia, and Jack who I have been homeschooling since 2011. I never planned to homeschool, but sometimes the best things in life are unplanned!

After six years I am still working through the ins and outs of homeschooling, but I like to think that I have it  pretty "figured out". Please take a moment to look around the blog or follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

About My Children
Kenten

Grade: 9th Grade
Age: 14 (almost)

Kenten is my oldest son. He loves soccer, paintball, and video games. I like to refer to him as the baby whisperer... I seriously have not met a baby who doesn't instantly love him!

Julia
Grade: 7th Grade
Age: 12

Julia is my only daughter. She is my artsy, book loving girl! She is always drawing, painting, singing, or curled up reading a good book. I am so thankful that I have this girl in my life, especially when we can sneak away for a "girl's day".

Jack
Grade: 5th Grade
Age: 10

Jack is the baby of the family. He was diagnosed with PDD-NOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder: Not Otherwise Specified--"Autism Spectrum"), SPD (Sensory Processing Disorder), and Dyspraxia. Although having a special needs child has brought new challenges into our lives, I wouldn't have it any other way. This little man has the biggest personality and has me cracking up all the time!
